Hi guys.

I had an issue correctly installing the license file, mainly due to my server not saving the local Java preferences information.

Basically java.util.prefs.userRoot directory couldn't be accessed on my server.

By default this in users home directory ~/.java/.userPrefs and requires rw permissions. Creating this directory manually for both my local user and within root home directory didn't solve the issue - perhaps as tomcat6 is specified as user in tomcat startup, but I don't know for sure.

To get around this is to manually specify where the userRoot location should be in the JAVA_OPTS array in tomcat startup script

I added -Djava.util.prefs.userRoot=/home/iancostelloe/ within JAVA_OPTS

Now the two .userRootModFile.tomcat6 and .user.lock.tomcat6 files are created within my ~/.java/.userPrefs directory which allows Tomcat to store application preference information in the Java registry.
