How do I access MySQL database from the Command Line in Windows OS?

It can be done by adding the line (C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.5\bin) in the System Variable called Path in Windows. It may require a System Restart. Also change the path to MySQL bi as appropriate in individual cases.

and to log in... mysql -uroot -ppassword databasename should do the trick
